| On September 28, 2005, CeNCOOS received funding for FY06-08 from the NOAA Coastal Services Center. Funding is $700,000 for FY06 and $400.000/year for FY07 and 08. The award includes support for CeNCOOS staff (one full and two half-time), the Center for Integrated Marine Technology, data integration and product development efforts, supplies, outreach, and travel. CeNCOOS is continuously looking for funding opportunities to support additional regional ocean observing efforts. |

Coastal Ocean Currents Monitoring Program (COCMP) will monitor ocean surface currents along the entire California Coast. The project is administered by the State of California through the Coastal Conservancy and the State Water Resources Control Board. Funding for the project was provided by two voter approved initiatives: the California Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks, and the Coastal Protection Act of 2002 and the Water Security, Clean Drinking Water, Coastal and Beach Protection Act of 2002.
