Dr. Natalie Low is the new postdoctoral researcher working on data integration for the CeNCOOS Marine Protected Area assessments. Natalie has worked at the intersection of environmental change and ecological responses in the California Current Large Marine Ecosystem (CCLME) for most of her scientific career. Her PhD work at the Hopkins Marine Station of Stanford University focused on the responses of kelp forest sea urchins to coastal hypoxia and multiple climate stressors in central California. Her previous postdoctoral work has involved large-scale assessment of dissolved oxygen dynamics across nearshore sites throughout the southern CCLME and linking those to hypoxia thresholds in key fisheries species.
