Our coastal webcam network provides real-time visual observations that support a variety of important applications. These cameras help track beach usage, monitor king tides, observe storm surge and flooding, and document coastal erosion—among many other uses. By connecting visual data with CeNCOOS’s broader ocean observing efforts, the network helps researchers, coastal managers, and communities make informed decisions about California’s dynamic coastline.
